Hi, I’m Roxanne, just a girl in her mid twenties obsessed with food.  Growing up, my dad cooked dinner seven nights a week and my mom baked every one of my birthday cakes.  Is it any wonder where my interest began?

I like trying new things, but I also like making the best version of something every time.  What that means is I obsessively read cookbooks, magazines, cooking forums where any random joe can profess their opinion, and of course, food blogs.  I figure I spend enough time reading, researching, and daydreaming about food that I might as well create a place for myself on the internet to talk about it and share it with you all.  

I’m an elote lover and barbeque rib whisperer…summer food is my jam.  I like mexican food, thai, italian, ethiopian, szechuan chinese, good old fashioned american, peruvian, and tapas, but only if I only have to share with my boyfriend.  I’m not down with only getting one bite…

My favorite texture is crunchy and my most used ingredient is garlic (we’re not counting salt so don’t go getting technical on me…)  Here you’ll find recipes for food that I like to cook for myself, my friends, and my family.  My posts are a mix of old favorites and whatever my newest obsession may be.  Currently I’m cooking for two in the SF East Bay Area.
